I went to this show last night and the reception beforehand (with drinks). We met in a quiet room (I had to ask for the door to be shut when the audience began arriving!) with two members of staff. We had a good discussion about how to book and what our requirements are. When we went to our seats, I found that I could only see half of the nearer captions screen because there was a "box" balcony in the way! The other screen was too far away to read comfortably. I got a crick in my neck trying to read it and I'm sure it was disturbing for the person next to me.
We met again at the interval and reported back on how we got on. The manager was very friendly and helpful. He found me a better seat, which made all the difference. I managed to follow most of the second half, as I could see and hear better, and my ears had become accustomed to the Glasgow twang!
I would do it agin, but next time I will try to read up about the play beforehand, and I will not be afraid to ask for a change of seat if I cannot see the screen. It's not easy to know where the best place to sit if for you. For me it's a question of trial and error.
